Baby Registry, help! ?

I need thoughts for my baby registry… I don’t want to overwhelm my shower guests with a huge list of baby items. I just want thoughts for things that you reckon are a necessity. I am registering with target if that helps at all. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank You! I will vote for the best answer! Have a fantastic day!

The main things that I wanted at my shower was Diapers and wipes. I wanted Diapers in assorted sizes so that I wasn’t stuck with a bunch of small diapers that my baby couldn’t use. Just a note about that, most stores will exchange diapers as long as they are not opened. As for clothes, a few cute outfits will go a long way. They will grow out of everything so quick you won’t need 10 outfits that are way to cute for everyday wear. I loved sleepers of assorted sizes, tshirts, and onsies. If you are not breastfeeding you will need bottles. Cloth diapers or burp cloths. If you need a carseat, crib, and stuff like that I would NOT EXPECT to get the huge ticket items at your shower, but you can place it on your list. I know several times a group of us have gotten together and gotten a friend a huge item that we knew she couldn’t afford.
DOn’t forget about things like baby clippers, comb, brush, and things like that. Don’t be worried to place any and everything on your list. Some people might not have the money to get a huge item, but they could get several small items that you might want.
You might also consider registering at another location. I know you might not shop at walmart, babies r us, ect. but you may have friends or family that don’t like to shop at target. That’s just my opinion though. Any way congrats on the baby and I hope this helps some.

First off Congratulations on your new baby!!!
I have been to a few baby showers. We have played the scrambled baby item game. One game was that they would place either, juice milk, water, soda, whatever the participant was drinking in a baby bottle all filled the same amount. (Not alot though.) And the person had to try to drink all of whatever they had in their bottle. It’s harder then it looks, (a child really won that game at the shower I attended). I’ve had to place a piece of paper on my head and try to draw a baby and the mommy to be picks the best drawing. A door prize thought is we made small blue/pink diapers out of small squares of felt and place mustard or something in one of the diapers and each place setting got one and whomever had the dirty diaper won a prize. I reckon one game that was pretty excellent was the mommy to be when around with a platter/plate/tray with baby items on it (of course saying hello as she went to everyone) and she didn’t really say anything. So everyone assumed you had to memorize what she was carrying on her tray. When she had been around to everyone she left the room. Her mother then stands up and says okay everyone please right down everything that, she (mommy-to-be) was wearing. Everyone was like OMG I didn’t even pay any attention to that. A friend of mine wants to throw me a baby shower for the pregnancy of my small girl and although i reckon it’s very nice i find it inappropriate because this isn’t my first child.
