Relaxation is one of the most helpful techniques for pain relief. Massage is a wonderful labor tip. Having your partner give you a massage not only relaxes you but it also gives your partner a chance to be a part of the labor process. It promotes closeness and intimacy. Bathing is an obvious labor tip. Just having the feeling of the water on your body is an instant massage. I have to say that taking a shower was the best way for me to deal with my labor pain. Music can be such a relaxing medium. It can take you to another plane of consciousness.

ayurveda  It can also evoke such memories and choosing the right music that puts you in the place of total relaxation is a powerful feeling. Deep breathing can do wonders for a stressed out or nervous mom in labor. In Yoga it is Pranayama breathing. This type of breathing can be very helpful in pain relief. Breathing correctly or concentrating on your breathing will help oxygenate your blood which in turn oxygenates the baby. I reckon this is such an vital tool to use.

Letting your mind relax and give your body the chance to do the work. Meditation can be anything from just sitting in a silent room with peaceful thoughts, listening to soothing music, practicing the Pranayama breathing, or really doing yoga. Deep relaxation means letting the mind relax, too.

When serious about meditating, it’s best to relax in a comfortable and silent location. Deep, relaxed breathing and the absence of conscious thought is the goal of meditation. Getting there is the hard part.. Add wind, change the color, but deviate the image only slightly. Focus on this until it’s very solidly in your mental vision and you can change the picture with ease, and then focus on nothing at all for a time.

Yoga reduces stress by encouraging deep, rhythmic breathing. It also promotes relaxation by increasing the flow of blood and oxygen to each part of the body. Some forms of yoga include meditation or the repetition of a soothing sound or phrase. Please Buy Online http://ayurvedasbeautycare.com

target baby shower registry cards

September 29, 2008 by Baby Showers

Whether you are buying a gift for the holidays, a wedding, a baby-shower or birthday, it is sometimes tempting to simply buy Target or Walmart gift cards for your family members and friends. It is just so simple and honestly, we know that grocery gift cards will always be redeemed. While gift cards to grocery stores are usually appreciated, there is not nearly as much thought behind them, nor is the recipient as likely to recall your gift as a sincere, heart-felt one. Before you give your next present, take some time to really reckon about who you are bestowing a gift upon and question yourself what you could give them that would truly touch their heart.

According to Leslie Buer, home-grown Texan, mother of four darling children and wife of a stellar husband, “The main reason why I reckon it is vital to give personalized gifts is because it shows the recipient you truly care and are pleased for them and what they are going through.” Leslie has been known among her family and friends for giving the most considerate bridal and baby shower gifts. She has more than 50 cousins who all describe Leslie as one of the most thoughtful gift givers. Many have jokingly said they look forward to getting married or having a baby just so they can get a custom, specialized gift from Leslie.

When it comes to wedding gifts, there are many types of presents you can give and add a personal touch. Sometimes, you might feel hesitant to buy or make a gift that is not listed on the couple’s wedding registry, but it is vital to remember that newlyweds are truly “new” at picking out items for their first house. They would usually prefer to receive a unique gift, hand-chosen just for them by an understanding, thoughtful family member or friend. Whenever a member of Leslie’s extended family gets married, she embroiders custom towels or blankets with information about their special day. She always makes it a point to use fabric that matches the colors of items contained within the couple’s registry. This ensures that the couple can properly use her gift or show it in whatever room the gift was intended to coordinate with. These are the sorts of gifts that couples will cherish throughout their marriage. You can be sure they will never forget who the attentive gift-giver was.

Sometimes it can be hard to know what to give for birthday gifts. Whether the person is a small boy or girl, teenager, young adult or adult, picking out a custom gift can truly take some serious contemplation. When you know that a friend’s birthday is approaching, try to reckon about their personality and what types of gifts could either fit in with their lifestyle or help them in a particular area they are struggling in. “A excellent friend of mine just had a birthday,” Leslie said. Leslie’s friend had a habit of occasionally forgetting events or the days when her kids had early dismissal at school. “I gave her a calendar for her birthday,” she said, “But before I gave this calendar to her, I went through and marked all the school holidays, soccer practices, church events, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and such for her family.” Giving this type of gift requires truly knowing your friend. Leslie knew her friend well enough to recall the birthdays of her friend’s family members. This is a perfect example of right friendship and the type of birthday gift that will always be treasured.

It can certainly be a challenge to reckon of gifts catered to an individual’s needs. Giving cash or a gift card can be so much simpler and less time consuming, but it is so much greater to sit and deeply ponder about whom the gift is for. As you tug at your brain and try to come up with a creative gift, your thoughts are turned to fantastic memories you have of a particular person. Recalling these memories may trigger thoughts that will lead you down the road of what gift is “just right” for them. It’s a hard but heart-warming and rewarding process for both the giver and receiver. Just imagine their eyes as your friend opens your gift. You can know your gift will truly stick out to them as one of sincere thoughtfulness.

baby shower etiquette second child

Baby Shower Etiquette for Baby #2…?

So I just thought about this while attending a friends baby shower this weekend. What is the proper baby shower etiquette for baby #2? Let’s say you have your second child 1-2 years after #1… are you still thrown a baby shower by your friends/family?

I have a friend who had a 6 year ancient when she got pregnant with her 2nd. We threw her a baby shower because I knew she didn’t have all of the huge items that she would need (stroller, carseat, etc.)
Daniel’s Mommy: I really agree with you! And… Congrats on #2 :)

My opinion is, a baby shower’s purpose should be to celebrate the arrival of a new special small person. Why limit that to a families first born? The reason for shower is not just for the gifts, but now a days that is all people reckon it’s for. I don’t reckon that anyone should be limited to 1 shower, no matter how many children they have. Each child deserves a celebration.

I just wish more people saw it this way.

To make the baby shower an event that is both memorable and enjoyable for guests as well as the hostess, getting timely plotting, organization and budgeting done before-hand and sticking to the plot is very vital to ensure the perfect party.

Typically, a baby shower is hosted by either a family member or even friends (with co-workers even pooling in to organize such an event these days) of the expectant mother to be an occasion where thoughtful gifts can be given in a mood of merry-making that will be useful for a new mother or baby. From discussing the theme of the baby shower to putting together a baby shower registry to making a guest list, menu, décor plotting, arranging games and buying or making party favors, there’s no dearth of things to do the hostess will find herself overwhelmed by. This is why it is vital to ensure party supplies do not take up too much time to source and buy and things run smoothly for the baby shower to be a real success.

An invitation for the baby shower can be hand-made or store-bought and filled in with requisite details including directions to a way-out venue, dress code if any and RSVP (regrets only) in order to plot the catering services, seating, favors and kinds of games to be organized. The theme for a baby shower party should relate to baby-kind of things such as nursery rhymes, teddy bears or color thoughts such as dependant on the gender of the new baby (if known); party supplies are easily available online as well as in the local party goods store to suit various budgets.

Well loved, must-haves at a baby shower party include brightly colored balloons, streamers, tinsel and cut-outs in different shapes and sizes besides well loved cartoon character posters etc. which are simple to use for decorating the venue and are inexpensive too. At times, if an in-person shopping experience is not possible, the local store will home deliver it for you or you can choose to shop online and get the same facility, for free or at nominal cost.

What’s a baby shower party without a cake and some fun-games? So, remember to include these in the party supplies list besides disposable plates, cups and spoons that are in keeping with the theme and prizes and gift coupons to give away at the end! Bright colored and cute party-ware is now easily available in a variety of finishes, such as glass, plastic, melamine to paper and Styrofoam – choose one to suit your budget and baby shower needs.

The timing of the baby shower will determine the kind of menu and the games you can have i.e. a dinner party will require a sit down elaborate meal while a lunch or high tea can accommodate guest catering through appetizers, snacks, salads, finger foods and punch, fruit juices and perhaps wine.

Getting a baby gift registry in place is a smart way to prevent other guests from duplicating stuff for the expectant parents and save them from having bought a gift that goes unappreciated, too – so consider this element of plotting the perfect baby shower and getting supplies.

You can always question around in the friends and family circle for people to contribute and lend time or money in getting budget baby shower party supplies if there are too many items on the list or a special theme thought is to be catered to – or even consider a professional event organizer to do it all for you. Divide labor to multiply the fun at a perfect baby shower with these tips!

baby shower quiz

Baby showers are celebrated when a newborn baby is expected. Usually close friends and family of the mother conduct this party. These events involve a lot of gift giving and so a family member might find it a small awkward to host a baby shower.

These party’s are usually conducted one or two months prior to the baby’s birth or just after the birth of the baby.

Invitations must be symbolic of the baby’s birth. You can always get ready-made cards from card companies but it would be much more special if you choose a design and then custom make it.

Like any standard invitation, the baby shower invitation should include details like the invitee’s name, date, time and venue of the event, the host’s contact number, the party’s theme, and, if known, the gender of the baby.

Invitations should be sent out at least a month in advance. This will give enough time for the guests to pick out suitable gifts and make other appropriate plans for the special day.

If the party is going to have a theme, then it will mainly depend on the baby’s gender.

For example, if the baby is a boy, a sailboat theme would be a excellent thought. You can set up the whole place with huge and small boats of all types. The cocktail punch bowl can also have a boat themed centerpiece. For these kinds of themes, the vital thing is to highlight the name of the baby, which can be done using an object like an inner tube to suite the occasion.

If the baby is a girl, an brilliant theme would be a cookie. This may be attributed to the poem that tells us how girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice. Girls usually like tea parties, so it will resemble one with cooking recipes and teacups and jars with various food items like peanuts and chocolate chips. A giant cookie can highlight the girl’s name.

There might be the event of the parents not having chose a name at all. This is not all that terrible an event. The parents can get thoughts on names through the help of the baby shower. Letters of alphabet can decorate the place while games can be prepared that can get people to reckon of prospective names.

There is also the type of parents who would not like to know the baby’s gender until it arrives. Many others try to keep the guests in suspense. One commonly used thought is that only people of the same sex as the baby can be allowed in. the ultra sound can be played and all can sit and find out the baby’s gender together.

Another fun activity can be to make the guests play a boy or girl quiz. The questions are prepared such that the baby’s gender will be determined.

There are many themes and thoughts that can make the baby shower an event to truly remember. Excellent plotting and just a small bit of imagination can make your baby shower a fantastic success and it will be remembered for a long time.

At any rate, the host can plot alone, take help of friends, or seek professional help.
