All About Personalized Baby Shower Invitations Announcements Cards

When selecting the baby shower invitations and with technology as it is, personalized baby shower invitations, baby shower announcements and baby shower cards are readily available. When ordering the custom invitations, you might want to order more invitations than are needed so there will be extras for keepsakes and forgotten guests. If sending the invitations for baby showers by mail, it might be a excellent thought to ensure they stand out so that the guests will not reckon it is junk mail and toss the baby shower invitations without ever opening it. Read More About Personalized Baby Shower Invitations, Baby Shower Announcements and Baby Shower Cards.

Before ordering the custom baby shower invitations, it is vital to get an accurate count of how many guests the Mom-to-Be wants to invite to the shower party. The number will depend on where the baby shower will be held. Usually between 8 and 30 guests are invited, but this will all depend on the location and what type of shower is being plotted, such as a co-ed couples baby shower, drop by – drop in baby shower or a traditional, women-only, baby shower.

With so many choices it is vital for the hostess sit down with the parents to be and discuss what type of event they want to have. The personalized invitations for baby shower will need to be a reflection of the theme for the event, and you want to capture the spirit of your baby shower in the invitations.

The internet is a fantastic place to look for different types of unique baby shower invitations. Some people like to make a handmade invitation, but with all of the options available that will either match or compliment a theme, this is becoming more and more impractical. There are also e-card baby shower invitations, but if the recipients do not check their email accounts very often, then that would not work out so well.

There are many different styles to choose from, featuring the most trendy and up-to-date styles available. Using a website to order printed baby shower invitations is a excellent thought because their trends and styles stay current. The different styles can include embossed lettering, formal, trendy, simple or ornate styles – whatever best fits with the theme and the personality of the Mom-to-Be.

Each invited guest should receive a baby shower invitation even if they live in the same household. The invitations for baby shower should be sent out approximately four to six week prior to the date of the shower. This will give the guests time to buy gifts, clear their schedule and RSVP.

When ordering the printed baby shower invitations, it is vital to remember to include:

* name of the Mom-to-Be, or parents–to-be;

* what type of baby shower it is, such as a surprise, co-ed baby shower or couples baby shower;

* the date, place and time of the baby shower;

* if the Mom-to-Be is registered and where;

* if a meal is plotted or just refreshments;

* the theme of the shower;

* if the guests are to RSVP and by when and

* include the gender of the baby is known.

And, don’t forget to order the baby shower thank you cards at the same time the baby shower invitations are ordered so that the baby thank you cards reflect the baby shower theme.

baby shower music list
How many baby shower games should be played?

I know usually there are only a few guest, well not in my family. I am expecting around 35 guest. lol How many games do you reckon should be played, I am giving out prizes. So far I have 10 games that I want to play, if that’s too many games I will pick from that list.

Also, theres this one game “the cucumber game” its kind of like hot potato, only you don’t use your hands, you have to place it in between your knees and pass to it to each other like that. If you drop it your out of the game, and if the music stops and you have the cucumber, you’re out as well. Do you reckon that’s “unsuitable” for a baby shower?

I reckon ten games at a baby shower, especially with that many people, is too much. I had about 15 people at my baby shower, we played 4 games, and I thought I would die of boredom :)

I don’t reckon the game you suggested is inappropriate or anything, it just doesn’t seem to me to have anything to do with babies. One game that I wanted to have played but didn’t was melting 3 or 4 different types of candy bars and putting the melted chocolate in diapers (so it looked like poop). People then have to guess what kind of candy bar it was by smelling or eating the “poop” and whoever gets all of them right the fastest wins. Kinda yucky but I would have loved to have seen my friends and family stick their faces in diapers with brown goo on them.

In the end, it’s all up to you. I was just sharing my experience. I hope you have a fun baby shower :)

baby shower on a budget

baby shower on a budget

Baby showers have gotten larger and larger as time goes on. People are celebrating the birth of a child more than ever. Besides presents and decorations, those throwing the party have to reckon about the cake. Like any huge event, the cake is the centerpiece of the main table and the last thing the guests eat while at the party.

There are two ways to ensure you get the cake that you want for the party. The first way is by ordering it at a bakery and the second is by baking it yourself. This includes getting any family members who are proficient in baking to make the cake as well.

There are benefits and downfalls to both thoughts. If you have a themed baby shower, getting a cake at a bakery might be a small more hard. You have to find a baker that can customize cakes to suit your needs. One of the things a bakery can do is place a picture on the cake. This could be a picture of mom- and dad-to-be or pretty picture of the expectant mother. If the party is after the birth of the child, the cake could have a picture of the newborn.

One of the benefits of a bakery is the time you can save for other plans. You might have to worry about food or decorations, so by getting a baker you can focus on other elements of the baby shower. There are some bakers that will specialize the cake any what that you want, but this could be costly. If you are looking to have a baby shower on a budget, baking your own cake might be the way you want to go.

If you want to bake your own cake, there are so many different designs and techniques you could use for the cake. You can search the Internet for fantastic recipes and cute designs to make the cake such as butterflies, a baby bottle or toys. There is no limit to the type of cake that you can make. The downfall to this is that it is very time consuming. You may spread yourself too thin if you are trying to do everything for the party. Try to recruit other people to help you out.

Now, the cakes at the party don’t have to be edible. This sounds a small crazy, but you can make a cake that is well-designed and creative, but not meant for eating. One of the more well loved thoughts is a diaper cake.

This cake is more of a unique present for the expectant mom. If will give her enough diapers to last a few months. The way you make this is by taking many diapers and carefully stacking them into about three or four layers. Tie the diapers together using lace or ribbon. But, don’t tie the diapers too tight because you can deform them and render them useless.

There is no one that says that you can’t have both of these. If you choose you want to make the diaper cake, perhaps going to the bakery is the better go. But you can’t have just cake for the shower. Reckon about the types of food people are going to need for the party. Have an assortment of finger food and drinks that people will delight in. You can have other types of food such as baked ziti or chicken.

baby shower favors homemade

If you are high on budgeting and would rather spend party favor money on special décor or the catering service or even some fun and enjoyable party games for the baby shower you are plotting, why not make them yourself? You can do it at the fraction of the cost of ready-made baby shower party favors and even give them a customized look to encourage the guests to keep them as mementos of a lovely event!

For a thematic baby shower party favor thought, choose to go with related kiddy items such as fabric nappies, feeding bottles and baby booties and fill these up with assorted candies; knot the packages off in style with a ribbon! Perhaps, your guests will find them more useful to you after going through the edibles and gift them back to you (the expectant parents) for your use!

For those that are a dab hand at cooking and baking, this is just the right time to show off those culinary skills: make different varieties and flavors of cookies in kiddy-shapes like bottles, rattles and ducks etc and wrap them in colorful plastic or paper wraps to present as favors!

For a gathering that is bound to have more women attendees than men, scented or floating candles are a fantastic thought as baby shower party favors; these too, can be decorated with fancy ribbons (if you know the baby’s gender, go for typical colors such as blue and pink). Votives and scented candles are especially a fantastic bargain since they come in sets and are cost-effective baby shower party favor thoughts that can be personalized for the guests.

For those with a leisure activity such as gardening, the lawn is the best place to hunt for naturally gorgeous party favors that guests at a baby shower are sure to like and remember you and your special occasion by: pick seasonal plants and flowers for gifting as party favors. Get small seedling pots; grafting a stem and planting it in the chosen container won’t take long and finishing off with a bow is the best way to give something that is eco-friendly and requires tender, loving care –just like babies do, so it’s reminiscent of the occasion too!

Using store-bought coffee mugs and wine glasses filled with a gay bunch of flowers is another surefire way to present a party favor at the baby shower that is a style statement yet simple to place-together.

Last, but not least – for the baby shower party favor with a utility factor, place in assorted baby products such as toiletries and wash cloths, wipes and flannels nestled in a baby basket or hamper with a ribbon-bow to give a cutesy effect. It’s bound to be a hit with parents who have babies of their own! Add in a personalized touch with monogramming initials or crafting cute animal characters or cartoons out of fabric bits on diapers and bibs or paint on kiddy stuff with crafting paint so they can used as keep-sakes of a memorable baby shower event!

So, go ahead and get out that burst of creativity just raring to set the guests ablaze with your innovative styling, ideation and presentation of baby shower party favors you made yourself.

baby shower souvenirs thoughts

This article contains thoughts on cute baby girl shower decorations that you might want to consider as you plot your shower party, although your local fashion, design, furniture, and even candy stores can be a excellent place to scout for baby girl shower decorations to fit your needs and budget.

1. Make the lighting in your venue muted and pink by hanging baby girl shower decorations from your lamps. These can be in the form of twisted pink ribbons, pink veil, or pink cloth. You can also place pink votive candles in empty jars of baby food, light the candles, and use them to decorate the path leading to the venue. Just be sure to watch the flames carefully and keep children from tripping over the candles.

2. You can hang baby girl shower decorations from your ceiling. Drape the ceiling with twisted pink ribbons, then hang tulle or veil bags from these ribbons. These pink bags can contain pink jellybeans, gummy candies, cookies, or even strawberries, if your place is cold and dry. You can also hand these baby girl shower decorations to your guests for snacks, or question your guests to take them home as souvenirs.

3. You can also hang baby girl shower decorations from your walls. Place pink rag dolls in small bags, and make them hang on your walls like baby kangaroos in their mother’s pouches. These pink rag dolls can be labeled with either the name of the baby, or the names of the guests. Again, you can question your guests to take these baby girl shower decorations home as souvenirs.

4. You can also decorate your venue with pink balloons, as well as bottles of pink baby lotion, shampoo, and even pink milk that you can make from strawberry ice cream. You can let your guests take home these small goodies – and you can have the strawberry ice cream for dessert.

These are only a few thoughts to make your shower for you baby girl a success. Consult with your friends on how you can make decorations corresponding to a theme, and consult with your friends’ daughters, or your nieces, on what might make your shower even prettier.

Whether you’ve volunteered or been appointed to throw a baby shower, it can be a small daunting if this is your first shower. Don’t fret; with just a few simple tips you’ll be a master and have your guests – including the guests of honor – thanking you for a fantastic event.

The baby shower invitation
Every fantastic shower starts with a fantastic baby shower invitation. There are many options for your baby shower invitation. The choices are endless; choose an adorable baby animal or a stylish printed baby shower invitation based on what the guest of honor would like. It is a party for Mom and dad to be so make sure you get some input from them.

Your invitation should also include all relevant information and also some thought about the plotted activities and menu. As the nature of baby showers evolves, hosts are now having co-ed showers for both parents and even inviting children. Make sure all guests know exactly what your plot is so they can come prepared.

Shower games
Traditionally, shower games have been a bit hokey and you might want to consider updating the standard fare. The most vital thought behind shower games is to break the ice and get guests talking and mingling. While the focus is the Mom-to-be, there should still be some interaction between guests. If the shower is going to include different groups of friends who may not know each other, consider an ice-breaker type game and see where that leads you. Don’t force the games if guests are mingling and having a excellent time, but have a plot if it turns out that you need and ice breaker.

Menu and décor
Once you have settled on a baby shower invitation carry that theme and style through to your décor. If you already know the gender of the baby, pick some cute pink or blue accents to highlight your baby shower. If the gender is still a secret, the sky is the limit when it comes to color and decorations. Don’t forget to let Mom (and dad) to be have a say in the decoration.

Your baby shower menu will depend greatly on the time of day. Nearly anything is acceptable for a baby shower. A baby shower brunch can be a simple and elegant affair. Or you might opt for an evening event with snacks or a full dinner. There is no right or incorrect answer. Even a cocktail – or mocktail – party might be fun with colorful drinks and yummy snacks to celebrate baby.

Keep the memories
It will all be over in a flash, so make sure you solicit a guest or hire a professional to take some photos. Get lots of candid shots and some posed as well. You can place photos together for a scrapbook or add to the guest book. Speaking of guest book, make sure you have one ready so guest can make a note for Mom. Make sure you’ve left enough room for guests to leave some words of wisdom and best wishes for the new family.

Plotting a wedding shower can be simple if you just follow a few simple steps. You can be a gracious hostess with just a few tricks. Mom and Dad-to-be and your guests will be delighted by your fantastic sense of style and fantastic party-plotting skills.
